Snake, Dagger, and Heart Tattoo
by Nick Wasko

Really stoked to have another tattoo put on recently by Nick Wasko. His work is a great example of bold, clear tattooing with an iconic look to it, built to stand up to Father Time's abuse.

Don’t Fear the Reaper T Shirt

Before we get back to the exciting sequel to our San Francisco trip, I figure a brief detour of some tattoo-related projects might be in order.

Another Kind of Ink

What's with the Kat Von D magazine cover? Well, a couple months ago photographer Mark Cohene paid our shop a visit to shoot some images for an upcoming issue of Inked Magazine.

To the City by the Bay – Part I

In late February, friend and fellow tattooer Nick Wasko and I ventured south to San Francisco for a safari of sorts; we planned to drop in to some noteworthy tattoo shops, visit a few notorious seasoned tattooers, and eat our weight in Mission burritos.

Settling in at Sacred Heart Tattoo

Poppies in Print

This last month has been jam-packed with tattooing: working four days at Tattoo Zoo, my home shop in Victoria, and coming over to Vancouver to tattoo for three days at Sacred Heart Downtown. This seven-day-a-week streak lasted just over a month and has now settled into a comparatively relaxed five-day schedule.

Twenty and Ten

During this evening's LOTR-esque public transit journey from Victoria to Vancouver I savoured a few spare moments (“gift time” I call it) to reflect on the past year. Let me get all scientific-like and suggest that if you take an individual day as a representative sample of the year, today has been solid evidence that [...]
